I was sitting at breakfast this morning, watching Fox news when I saw the death of common sense. Now, I know that we have been slowly watching it die for some time but I believe that this morning, it officially died.
The report was on the budget cuts that our President has suggested. He has added so much more to the budget that the cuts are pointless now, but that is beside the point. The real point of the story was focused on one of those cuts specifically. The cut has to do with the prisons and the prisoners staying where they are incarcerated. There might not be enough funds to take care of these poor criminals. In fact, there might be such a shortfall that illegal immigrant prisoners will be let go. Free! I will give you one guess as to where they will be released because that is all you will need to figure it out. The streets of America! Is this really a shock though?
The icing on the cake is that these prisoners will be given welfare and benefits? Seriously? This country is going mad!
Common sense says to send these prisoners back to their home country by the cheapest means possible. We have been kind enough to take care of these illegal immigrants for some time now in our “plush” prisons. I think it is time that we tell these countries that they can have their citizens back now. We can not afford to deal with them anymore. Our baby sitting shift is over!
If only common sense were able to pull itself out of the hospital bed that it has been dying in for so long. Unfortunately, it died instead. Common Sense……..Dead at 233yrs of age!
Send them back to their homeland!
