One more thing that I did not mention is that the minimum wage is about to go up again. When this happens, things get tougher on business owners. If their business is down big, then some people may lose their jobs. Thus continuing the growth in unemployment.

With the actions taken by this administration and the congress, it is unlikely that we will recover any time soon. As soon as the economy turns around, it is likely that the democrats will be tempted to raise taxes and thus hurt the economy further.

Ok so I wanted to reply on this and don’t know if I need to send it to a special place. I am worried about the things that are going on. Especially the medical insurance that they want to start. I am happy with what I have and don’t want someone to tell me where and who I can see. I don’t make much money and am afraid that by the time this president gets done I am really going to be a poor person. I know that there are a lot of other people having problems because of the economy and all we can do is be there for each other and hope that our president doesn’t take all our freedom away.

1300 pages that not one of the representatives read. It passed 219-212. Now it goes on to the Senate. They will probably add more to it, and pass it also. Unbelievable. I can not understand how you can vote on actual rules of the land without reading it? Oh, wait, yes I do. Vote party lines. This is insane.

The Cap and Trade Bill is about to pass. What kinds of things will we see with this bill?
GE, Goldman-Sachs, and other big businesses will get rich off cap and trade. Congressmen and women who are invested in green energy will be making a killing off this. Al Gore will become a billionaire!
This bill is about consolidating power and money with Washington Elites! According to the EPA it will cause domestic production to ship abroad!! It will increase greenhouse gas emissions as well as kill American jobs!
Green Peace even says that this bill will not reduce emissions!
Yet we are going to pass this bill and make politicians rich!
It will drive businesses out of this country! This is an exportation of labor!!
It’s the biggest lie the government has ever told us!!!

First of all, carbon credits do not reduce pollution. So the whole idea of cap and trade being for the environment is bogus. It’s a method for the federal government to further regulate and deepen control over private industry. With carbon credits, it’s just another system in which people must look to government instead of in towards themselves. Carbon credits make you feel good about polluting… It makes you feel good about paying money to the government. How great an idea! Not only can the government collect more tax revenues but the people feel good about it!

At the risk of sounding radical… Democracy is a never-ending war against tyranny. It must be fought at all hours of the day and night not only against foreign enemies, but to a greater and more real extent, against domestic enemies who would seize control of our lives and liberty under false pretenses. And the most cruel enemy is the American Voter who ignorantly casts his ballot for tyrants and usurpers for the sake of a few pennies thrown his way or for false promises of security and peace.

Very funny! In all seriousness, we have been put in a position of weakness by the Obama Administration. Even though Bush put us at odds with much of the world, we were always in the position of strength. The recent actions by President Obama have done a disservice to our foreign policy initiatives. What displeases me most is that he is not taking the lead with this Iran business. Instead he is following at a very slow pace in showing his support for democracy around the world. GERMANY has taken sides against the tyrannical regime in Iran and we’re sitting on the fences hedging our support for “who we think will win.”
